CELLspin is a programmable spinning system with remote control for stirring culture volumes from 50 to 1000 mL at up to 75 rpm. The unit duplicates gentle stirring conditions in up to four spin flasks. Each flask is fitted with specially rounded glass impellers that provide oscillating circular movement to guarantee low shear force while maintaining optimum mixing.The pendular angle and interval between turns of the impellers can be programmed individually. The CELLspin also performs continuous circular stirring. The remote controller has a digital display and advanced features such as cyclical mode, ramp up, down, forward, and reverse.The complete unit includes a timer with alarm. The system is CO2 and moisture resistant. Two CELLspin systems fit inside a standard-size incubator. Measures 11-5/8"L x 13"W x 2-3/8"H. The control unit and stirring platform are also sold separately.

These innovative stirrers allow custom applications ranging from gentle stirring for cell cultures to aggressive mixing of viscous liquids. Four memory profiles can be stored that control speed, ramp rate, stir direction, time and powder level. Automatic mode allows recall of a stored program. A manual mode can also be selected that provides stir, stir reverse and time functions. The multi-position model features synchronized operation of all four stirring surfaces. This ensures the exact mixing parameters for each vessel and reduces error. These stirrers can be used in a cold room at 0°C or in an incubator up to 38°C.
